The Art Explorer is a pseudonym for the artist and writer Daniel Cullen. His writing draws on extensive and wide-ranging professional experience within the Arts ( over 30 yrs) as a successful Public Sculptor, Community Artist, and Art Therapist.

In addition to being Artist in Residence with Fingal County Council (2001-2006) he also worked for several years with the Irish Museum of Modern Art (I.M.M.A.) as a member of their ‘Artist Team’. As an Art Therapist working with the Dept of Justice, he designed and facilitated creative therapeutic programs, working with offenders on such programs as the Mountjoy Prison Drug Rehab program.
In May 20/20 he completed a two years study program in Art Writing and Contemporary Art Practice at Gorey School of Art. He has written several art reviews (under the pseudonym The Art Explorer) in response to exhibitions at the R.H.A., I.M.M.A., Wexford Art Centre, and Wexford Co Council Exhibition Space. His writings have been published in V.A.N. (V.A.I. News Sheet ) and on-line (see below) Daniel was recently selected with seven other Wexford based artists to participate in Peripheries Meet, an online Contemporary Art mentoring program facilitated by Gorey School of Art.
